Biology - Habitats
Creating habitat boxes for animal. This is a habitat box for a ladybird.
To work scientifically: ask simple questions, identify and classify.
To investigate living things: Identify that most living things live in habitats to which they are suited and describe how different habitats provide for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants and how they depend on each other.
Describe how animals obtain their food from other plants and animals
The children explored the outside area turning over logs and tyres to conduct a mini-beast hunt. They then recording their data and analysed their findings.
To work scientifically: gather and record data to help in answering questions.
To investigate living things: Identify and name a variety of plants and animals in their habitats including micro habitats
