This year we have begun to work with the Woodland Trust. We have held and have future plans a range of activities to earn points for the Woodland Trust School Award. It is part on our ongoing Green Team work to raise the profile of the work happening in school and to inspire pupils to become active participants in caring for our local and global environment.
So far we have planted 23 trees and have more saplings coming, We have held a whole school tree dressing day and we have participated in assemblies with resources from the Woodland Trust. We have build our own compost bin and each class is contributing the the compost which we will use to plant for flowers and trees.
We are very proud to announce we have achieved Gold Award and we are planning many more new and exciting initiatives.
