Last half term we visited Nell Bank. We had such a lot of fun learning about woodland animals that we are going to carry on exploring some more. This half term we will be learning about mini beasts. The children have decided upon some questions they would like to find the answers to:

What do ladybirds eat?

Why do worms live in mud?

Why do ants and spiders bite?

Why do spiders have 8 legs?

Why do butterflies have long tongues?

We will use a variety of non fiction tests to investigate these answers.

This half term the Boogie Bug class are having sport sessions delivered by Brad from Leeds Rhinos and they are starting with some football skills, because as you know, this class LOVE all things football!

We have also been discussing our family and preparing some special surprises for our Father's Day event in school.

We are looking forward to learning who our Year 1 teachers will be and visiting them for story times and classroom visits.

We have are also in training for sports day, practising hurdles, races and throwing skills. It is going to be a really fun half term!
