Y2 : More school trips

Walks in the woods / more local visits. Rent other schools mini buses. Five pounds per child. Talk to teachers and green team about it. Take school buddies?

Mrs Kirk is going to speak to Mr Curran regarding increasing local visits for example visiting the library, walking in the woods, going to the park etc.

Teacher reminder: there is £5 per pupil available from The Friends which can be used towards the cost of visits.

The cosy club is going to be opened soon.  Mrs Kirk will begin a library club in the new year – details to follow later.

Mrs Kirk has passed on this information to Miss White / Green team regarding planting flowers or plants outside the barn where there is a big patch of mud. Car tyres have been suggested.

Y6:school buddies

Read books to each other/talk to Mr Curran ,Mrs Haigh and teachers/ pick out names from a hat

A suggestion that came up in the meeting is for Y5 to become buddies for new reception children next September, so that when they start school, they have a buddy to help them. Y5 and reception teachers will discuss this in the summer term.

Mrs Kirk has spoken to Miss Hall and she has said that, unfortunately, at this time, it is not possible to change arrangements in the hall because of different age groups coming in and accessibility.  Miss Hall will bear this in mind for any changes to plans in the future.

Y6 benches in assembly – Mrs Kirk and Mrs Pickard will select assembly monitors to put out chairs and benches for the Monday morning worship.  Y6CK and Y6RP will alternate week-to-week as to who is sitting on the benches.
