This half term we are getting to know all the children and families closely as we celebrate and explore 'Ourselves!'.

We are reading Elmer to learn about the things we are good at as well as discovering what makes us different. We have a baby clinic role play area as we have lots of children in the class who love to look after babies.

We have been drawing pictures of who lives in our house and learning the names of our friends in class.

The children will be learning about and joining in with harvest festival celebrations too and joining in with some whole class assemblies.

In PE we are doing yoga with Miss White through stories and doing lots of talking and circle time games to learn about the school rules and reflect on ways we can have a kind, calm and happy classroom.

The children will begin to explore numbers within 5 using Numberblocks and beginning their phonic sessions, using the RWI scheme, once the baseline assessments have been completed.

It is a very momentous and exciting half term and we are delighted to have 4 stay and play sessions on offer for parents before the October half term.

We keep in regular contact with our families through the Tapestry app where we post videos, photos, and observations weekly that celebrate the children's achievements.

Take a look at our class gallery to see how we have been learning through play!
