FURTHER UPDATED ADVICE REGARDING COVID-19

As you will no doubt be aware, there was significant changes to Covid-19 advice from Government yesterday.  Schools have not been closed by Government.

To be clear:

  • If you, or anyone in your household has any symptoms of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) the whole household must isolate for 14 days and children MUST NOT come to school.

  • We will continue with our hygiene & isolation programmes.

Obviously, our staff will also be impacted and although we will endeavour to keep school running as normal, we anticipate disruption.

We want to be as transparent as possible with you.  Today, as I write, we have 4 members of staff absent, although none of them themselves are displaying symptoms of Covid-19.

Other absences are to be expected in the coming days.  I will continue to update you and although a last resort, there must be a possibility of partial or full closure of school due to pupil /staff ratio sometime in the coming weeks.  IF this is the case, I will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible.

It is a fast-moving and very difficult time for the whole community.  I am sure we will all support each other and everyone around us as best we can.

Please take care and thanks again for your continuing understanding.

Yours sincerely,

Mr R Curran
