Dear year 5 pupils and parents,

If school does close for whatever reason, here is some information that may be of help to you in regards to what your child can do whilst not in school.

Home reading is encouraged. Your child will know their accelerated reader level and you can check the level of books using the website https://www.arbookfind.co.uk/default.aspx . For any books that are read which are on the AR scheme, you can access the questions and tests here - https://ukhosted75.renlearn.co.uk/1893155 . Children will need to login in.

TimesTablesRockstars - Times tables should be kept up to date through https://play.ttrockstars.com/auth/school using the children's login. There are other times table games alternatives on https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/7-11-years/times-tables and other maths games.

Spellings can be taken from the statutory word lists for year 5 and 6 according to the national curriculum. https://dera.ioe.ac.uk/18288/1/English_Appendix_1_-_Spelling.pdf .
